A Guide To Success

Do you want to succeed in your education, life, business or career? Kezy’s blog got just the thing for you “A GUIDE TO SUCCESS”

What is success?

According to the Oxford dictionary, success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.

As human beings we all set out goals for ourselves which we intend to achieve but, most at times we end up giving up on our dreams for a number of reasons, this could be because of inadequate finances,  zero(0) planning, lack of skill and wrong methods. When we set goals there are a number of aspects we must consider for example: time, finance, skill, determination. These aspects are important because they determine if we succeed or not. To be successful means more than having a lot of money or a well paying job. Success does not come from one but from a combination of many factors that make it happen. Success means following your passions, living with a purpose and having to enjoy your present life.

To succeed;

Ø You need to have a goal

Ø Manage your time

Ø Stick to your commitments

Ø Be determined and persistent

Ø Make efforts and sacrifices

Ø You need gratitude

1.   Having a goal or a plan

You need to firstly identify your goal(s) and what you can do to realize it. Make a list of things you need to do in order to accomplish your goal. A student with a goal to do well in his or her exams will obviously come up with a study time table and methods of reading and understanding. If my goal is to grow my company for example, my business plan will look like this

Medium Term Measures

Long Term Measures

2.   Manage your time

After having a goal, the next step is to know how to manage your time. You can have a goal and still not achieve it if you don’t have the time to realize it. You can achieve this by having a daily routine that is, having time for each activity for the day. For example

My Daily Routine

Morning schedule

5:00am-6:30am exercise

7:00am-2:00pm work

Afternoon schedule

2:30pm-3:00pm school

Evening schedule

5:00pm-7:00pm blogging

7:00pm-7:30pm meditation

3.   Sticking to your commitments.

This is actually one of the most challenging of all factors. Sticking to our commitments is not an easy task. I remember putting up a whatsapp post after my last blog post promising my followers consistence but It never lasted for too long, this was not because I didn’t want to but because to be consistent requires commitment and commitment requires determination, persistence, effort, sacrifice and action without this there’s no way you can succeed.

Being it a lifetime commitment

4.   Determination and persistence.

What does it mean to be determined and persistent?

To be determined means to be decided or to be clear. Determination makes us certain about our actions. The man below is determined to get to the top of the big rock, it looks impossible some would say but his determination gives him the strength to keep moving.

After determination, the next step is to be persistent.

To be persistent means to refuse to give up. Sometimes you will feel like giving up but that should not make you give up because you set a goal and you must achieve that goal. Of course you’ll feel discouraged or worn out along the way and you might even take a break but that doesn’t mean you  will or you have given up. Challenges are part of most success stories, face them and you will be strong enough to handle the challenges in the future.

The athlete above stopped for rest but she didn’t give up.

5.   Making efforts and sacrifices.

Success comes to those who put in the effort and are dedicated to what they do. To succeed in anything you must put in the required effort.

(Writing this post I just realized nothing like “gymist” exists, its either you have a gym instructor or you are a gymnast though the latter isn’t our point of focus) back to what I was saying. The gym goer in our photo is a perfect reflection of someone who puts in effort to what he is doing.

Apart from putting in effort we must be willing to make sacrifices being it our time, sleep, money and our comfort. True success come with sacrifice. To succeed in anything you need to sacrifice for it, at that point it may be so inconveniencing to you but with time your efforts will pay out.

6. You need gratitude

Yeah yeah this last point sounds misplaced but have you ever heard the saying "grateful people always succeed" and wonder why? the answer is simple. Gratitude is the attitude.

Happy new year y'all.

This is my first post since the year began please show some love.

I'm so sorry this blog post took so long to be released, this new blogger makes blogging kinda boring for me cuz its UI isn't that friendly.

However, the goal is to be consistent this time around.
