LET IT GO
Let It Go - Motivational text
One of the hardest things you'll ever face in life is forgiveness. Why do marriages end in divorce? Why do family members stop talking to each other, they just cut each other out. How can two childhood friends grow up together and can't stand being in the same room with each other. How can people live churches and be upset? Its all because of offenses. Offenses have the power to pollute your will. If it is not properly dealt with before it reaches the heart it will sink down into the soul, poison your personality and entrap your mind, your will and your emotions.
Offenses if they are not properly dealt with will rob you of your peace, your joy, your faith. This is why the disciples asked for their faith to be increased.
There is a story of twins that were raised by an alcoholic father. One of them became an alcoholic like his Dad and when he was asked why he is an alcoholic he said " I was raised as an alcoholic". The other twin never touched a drink in his life. How ironic, when he was asked why he never touched a drink he said " that is because I was raised by an alcoholic father and I don't want to be like him".
It is not what happens to you that matters or what happens inside of you that matters the most. The enemy came to kill, steal and to destroy. He wants to ruin your peace, to ruin your joy, to ruin your mental and emotional wellbeing. Why are we suffering from so much depression, so much anxiety.
Why should you forgive?
Forgiveness begins your healing process. When you forgive you start to heal. You feel lesser pain.
Forgiveness removes anger and malice from your heart. Forgiveness helps you feel less angrier than before and let's you let go of malice.
When you forgive you no longer let someone have authority over your mind and heart. You stop thinking of what this person did to you.
Forgiveness sets you free. When you forgive you feel lighter and free from bondage.
As long as you are tied to your past
you cannot reach forth to the future of your destiny. Peter asked Jesus how many times he was to forgive when someone hurt him and Jesus replied 70×7(Matthew 12:19) what he meant was we are supposed to forgive those who hurt us no matter how many times they hurt us. Let us let go of vengeance because vengeance is reserved exclusively for the Lord (Romans 12:19). Its the same as Christ forgives us every time we beg for forgiveness with a genuine heart but its your decision to keep letting people hurt you over and over again. You're the one who has the green light of your life.
I'm not saying that what you've been through is easy no its not and I know that. It takes supernatural power to let go of some things in your life. To let go of all the abuse and all the confusion but believe me I do know, God knows it more than anybody. He knows what you've been through, he knows where you are, he knows about your condition. He knows who walked out of your life and who left you. He knows who rejected you, who betrayed you. He knows everything even the tears and pain youeve been through but there comes a point in your life where you have to ask God to give you the faith. Faith to let go so you can move forward, faith so you can succeed, faith so you can forgive those who hurt you, betrayed you, spoke negatively of you. You need to pray this prayer
" Dear Lord increase my faith so I can continue to move forward".
I'm not saying what you've been through was easy and I'm not saying what you've been through can just be forgotten over night but what I'm saying is that you need to stop making an excuse not to move forward. There comes a time where you have to let it go. Those who hurt you are already living their life, they are looking forward. You're the one caught in ruins, in the traffic you have to let it go.
Forgiveness is the hardest thing you'll face in your journey but forgiveness is not for them, its for you.
I hope we all learn something from this and let go of what we've been through. I was actually going through some You Tube Videos and I came across a video by @pj empowers and his video inspired me to write this I pray it does same for you.
