Everyone is talking about the Covid-19 or what is commonly known as corona virus. This is not an issue to be taken lightly because there has been a significant loss in human life all over the world and we do not know how bad things will get before they get better but we all know prevention is better than cure. As such here are a few steps to help us not to come into contact with this deadly virus.
1. Wash your hands frequently.
The covid-19 can be transmitted from the hands to other parts of the body that is why it is advice able to wash your hands frequently. Wash your hands with the help of detergents and soaps to make sure any bacteria in them is completely washed off and avoid touching the eyes and nostrils. Don't forget to use sanitizers as well do well to always carry them around especially when we move about. I know this could be hard but its worth the stress.
2. Avoid large gatherings.
Large gatherings like markets, roundabouts and other public places should be avoided because one can come into contact with someone who has been infected with the virus and it is then transmitted to you so it will be better if we all practice social distancing.
3. Avoid public transportation.
Traveling can sometimes be stressful, tight, hot and uncomfortable especially public transport. You get to share seats with strangers who might be carries of which one might get infected just from a sneeze or hand shake from an infected person. Just avoid public transportation.
4. Maintain a healthy lifestyle.
When we live a healthy life style it will be difficult to get infected by viruses or diseases in general therefore in order to stay safe just maintain a healthy life style.
5. Keep enough food at home.
Now is the time to do bulk buying. Its not adviceable to be at crowded areas at the moment so its better to just do a one time food shopping so you don't have to frequent the market.
Last but not the least let us keep praying for the world at large and our nation Cameroon as well as assist our governments in sensitizing those around us. Stay safe you all.
